Facility Tour

Thank you for trusting Effingham Ambulatory Surgery Center (EASC) with your care. Your health and safety are most important to us. EASC strictly follows the recommendations from the CDC and guidelines established by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) to help ensure your safety as the surgical staff begins performing surgeries again.

Before Your Surgery

  • A pre-op nurse will contact you one week prior to surgery, and three days prior to surgery to screen you verbally.
  • You must have a history and physical (H&P) performed by your primary care doctor.
  • One responsible adult driver is required to take an adult surgery patient home following the procedure. The driver may be asked to stay in his or her vehicle. The surgeon will call the driver following the surgery to provide an update. Please provide a cell phone number to the staff upon check-in. If a support person is required, he or she will be screened and asked to wear a mask and to use social distancing in the waiting area.
  • Pediatric patients require one guardian/parent to be with them on the day of surgery.
  • Any other visitors are restricted from entering the surgery center unless requested by personnel, but are welcome to wait in a personal vehicle in the EASC parking lot.
